Thanks guys for the comments... nice to see that someone IS reading my blog even though I have not exactly been updating on a regular basis.
JB... nice to know that bugs don't bite on Friday's. At the rate this is going I should just have a standing bug bite appointment with my doc.
Bug bite update
Went to the doctor yesterday and all went well. He actually pulled out a teeny tiny little stinger out of my leg. I can't believe he actually found it. I was given some anti-biotics which I started taking yesterday and it was MUCH better when I woke up this morning. I believe anything with a stinger and me are going to be enemies from now on.
Wine
C and I went to a wine tasting at the Mint Museum. A few of the wines were OK, but I wasn't all that impressed. I had more fun hangin with C than drinking the wines! Although, I am not averse to trying another one if it comes along. Now I need to get some things together and get some sleep, since C and I are getting up early for a wine apprecation class tomorrow morning... are you noticing a theme?
it's a blog about me, myself, and sometimes includes my friends and family. why is there this need to describe everything. i have no agenda, really.

Missing time
It never seems like there is enough time in the day. I am sure everyone else feels that way as well, but I just needed to say that out loud. Here are a few items that I need to update everyone on.
House
The outside of our house is just about done. It needs a bit of a wash, but this is the final version! I really hope they leave that lovely dumster out front when they are done.
As you can see they have almost finished with the drywall. Looks like they will need to sand and then the primer will be all that is left. Hopefully, we will start to see some cabinets and things soon. Very excited to finally see what the inside is going to look like.
Bugs hate me... not for the faint of heart
Oh my god!! Apparently this is going to happen every time something bites or stings me. What I really don't like is that I have no idea what bit me. The consensus, at least between C and I, is a spider bite. I did get one suggestion of flea bite, but I think I am going to let that one go. The worst part, aside from the incessant itching, is the amazing heat that is radiating from this thing. I feel like I could power a whole neighborhood with the amazing solar energy radiating from my knee.
So, I guess that I will call my doctor tomorrow and see if I can get something for it without actually going into the office. Here it is... see how my leg (the one on the left) looks very deformed?
Colorado
I really didn't take any pictures while we were in Colorado. I did take a few on my phone, but I really have no idea how to get them onto the computer... oh Joe...
We had a really fabulous time as usual. I did ski for almost a whole day, four runs down the mountain is a record for me. I learned how to knit (thanks Aunt R!) and shopped till I couldn't shop any more. The picture above is a Oaxacan wood carving that Aunt R and Uncle D got for us. It is beautiful! You really need to come over and see it.

bye for now
Yes, I realize it is 1:30 in the AM, but this is how Joe and I get ready for a trip. This way we will be good and cranky and make everyone's life miserable until we get a good nights sleep...
We are off to lovely CO for some skiing with the family. I am really looking forward to my annual ski run, then I can call it a day and grab me a hot chocolate with butterscotch something or other (thanks C for the reminder!).
If I am not to warn out, maybe I will post some pictures of the trip when I get back.

not much happening
on the new home front, that is. Here is a fantastic picture of all the changes we have made to the home. That would be all the paper on the window there.
We will be doing are pre-drywall walkthrough on Monday, so hopefully there will be some progress soon.
You can only look at a wall of wiring so many times and get excited...

Lent
So, since I am not Catholic I decided that I would give up something for Lent. I am trying to eat better so I have chosen to go without fried food.
Joe has set up a pool if anyone is interested...
